International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics

In October 2009, the Executive Board agreed the continuation of the FIGO Committees for the Ethical Aspects of Human Reproduction and Women's Health, Safe Motherhood and Newborn Health, Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Rights, Gynecologic Oncology and Fistula. Two new Committees were also established, one on Education, Training & Capacity Building, and the other on Reproductive Medicine. These Committees reflect a continued determination to realise FIGO's mission to promote the health and well-being of women world-wide and to improve the practice of gynecology and obstetrics.
