FIGO Educational Affiliate Status for Individuals
You can become an Educational Affiliate by making a donation to The FIGO Charitable Foundation. By doing so, you will be supporting FIGO’s activities and charitable work around the world. In return, you will not only be granted Educational Affiliate status by FIGO but you will also receive:
- listing on the FIGO website
- a certificate confirming that you have been recognised as an Educational Affiliate of FIGO
- a complimentary subscription to the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics (the annual subscription price to individuals of which is currently US$240 for all countries except Europe and Japan, where the price is €214 for Europe and JPY28,500 for Japan)
- a personal copy of the FIGO Newsletter three times a year
- Personal copies of other publications issued by FIGO from time to time;
The programme will operate on a “calendar year” basis from 1st January to 31st December annually. The duration of your affiliation will be for one year (to 31st December 2008) and will be available for a donation of US$200.
The financial contribution made by FIGO Educational Affiliates to the FIGO Charitable Foundation will be designated for support of a specific FIGO activity. For the current period, these funds will be used for the FIGO fistula initiative that will help to provide care for women in the developing world who suffer from birth injuries and vesico-vaginal fistulas. This is a very important FIGO program and one that has direct benefit to millions of women in need.
The FIGO Charitable Foundation is a US501(c)3 corporation and US residents may make donations on a tax-deductible basis.
