World Report on Women's Health
The sixth edition of the World Report on Women’s Health – published every three years to tie in with the FIGO World Congress of Gynecology & Obstetrics – focuses on Reproductive and Sexual Health Rights: 15 years after the International Conference on Population and Development. As in previous years, the articles aim to meet the objectives of FIGO as they reflect on the realities that affect women in most parts of the world and the dire need for advocacy, expertise, and collaboration to promote health, well-being, and the status of women through the Ob-Gyn community, using available evidence. The President-Elect deeply appreciates the assistance of the Alliance for Women’s Health, the IJGO Editorial Board, Editors of previous such issues — the President, Dr Dorothy Shaw, and Past Presidents Dr Arnaldo Acosta, Dr Shirish Sheth, Professor Markku Seppälä and Professor Mahmoud Fathalla — as well as Dr Tim Johnson and the Journal office, especially Miss Clare Last. This edition of the World Report on Women’s Health was produced with the generous support of UNFPA, the Ford Foundation, and Ipas. It was very appropriate to have more than 40% of the authors women with a balanced regional representation. The table of contents of this special issue of the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics is as follows:
