World Report on Women's Health

The fifth edition of the World Report on Women's Health - published every three years to tie in with the FIGO World Congress of Gynecology & Obstetrics - focuses on the right to health expressed in the Millennium Development Goals and improving access to health.

As in previous years, the articles aim to meet the objectives of FIGO as they reflect on the realities that affect women in most parts of the world and the dire need for advocacy, expertise and collaboration to promote health, well being and the status of women through the Ob-Gyn community, using available evidence.

This edition of the World Report on Women's Health was produced with the generous support of Ipas,(working in collaboration with the UK Department for International Development), The International Planned Parenthood Federation, The Japan Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology, The Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Canada, The World Health Organization - Department of Reproductive Health and Research and The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.

The report was published as the September 2006 Issue of FIGO's International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, and the contents may be downloaded free of charge as PDF files by clicking on the appropriate chapter headings below.
