Celebrating outstanding contributions from female healthcare professionals

Nineteen outstanding female healthcare professionals have received the FIGO Women’s Awards 2025 in recognition for their ground-breaking work and extraordinary commitment.  

This esteemed award recognises women who have made significant contributions to advancing scientific knowledge and clinical practice in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics. It celebrates the exceptional work of female professionals who, throughout their careers, have championed and improved healthcare for women and girls. 

The winners of the FIGO Women’s Awards 2025 are:

They were all nominated by their respective member societies, and the awards were announced in the first session of the FIGO General Assembly, on Monday 6 October 2025 (14.30–17.30 CEST) in Cape Town during the XXV FIGO World Congress.
