FIGO's 2018 Fellowship Programme

FIGO is pleased to announce a Fellowship Programme aimed at promoting Women’s Health in low-resource countries.

The programme will provide an update on clinical management in various settings.

Participants will be selected from the low-resource countries around the world to attend a training programme in Brazil for approximately two weeks (inclusive of the World Congress).

Invitations will be extended to national Ob-Gyn societies in low-resource countries to nominate suitable candidates to participate in the programme.

Eligibility Applicants must: • Be practicing in a low-resource country • Be between 30 and 40 years old • Be able to communicate fluently in English for the congress (but for the fellowship programme Portuguese and Spanish may also be useful) • Hold a postgraduate degree in Ob/Gyn • Be specialists and not trainees • Have been in practice for three years or more • Spend 50% of their working time in a medical school, teaching hospital or government agency • Attend programme of Congress sessions as devised by the Scientific Committee   Fellowship The Fellowship will cover: • Economy return air travel from the applicant’s country to Brazil   • Accommodation for the duration of their stay in Brazil • A placement at a hospital in Brazil (1 week) prior to the FIGO World Congress • Registration fee for the FIGO World Congress     Certification Certificates will be issued on completion of the Fellowship and following the submission of the feedback form.
