FIGO and the Chien-Tien Hsu Research Foundation have established a Fellowship to enable young obstetricians and gynaecologists to attend the FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics in Sydney, Australia, in 2021.

The opportunity for two obstetricians and gynaecologists who are beginning a career in gynaecologic oncology includes a grant of USD $5,000 to each successful applicant to cover expenses incurred in attending FIGO’s 2021 Sydney World Congress being held 24th–29th October 2021.

In addition to attendance at the FIGO World Congress, the Fellowship will provide an opportunity for the successful applicants to attend a centre of excellence in gynaecologic oncology in Sydney, to gain clinical and research experience.

Should COVID-19-related travel restrictions impact on the ability of successful applicants to attend Sydney, the award will take the form of a scholarship. The scholarship funds would be allocated to the cost of virtual registrations and other associated costs incurred by both the successful applicants and the host institution (for example, special electronic equipment to support virtual links).

The deadline for submission of applications is 31st January 2021.

More details about the Fellowship and how to apply are available on the Sydney Congress 2021 website.
