FIGO’s global projects span many areas of global women’s health, including the need for provision of safe motherhood and newborn health; post-partum contraception; the prevention of unsafe abortion; better practices in post-partum haemorrhage (PPH), pre-eclampsia and eclampsia; advocating for and disseminating evidence-based information on misoprostol for PPH; building the capacity of fistula surgeons; and management of gestational diabetes.
