This webinar by the FIGO Committee on Childbirth and PPH discusses the geographical and clinical factors that account for too few or too many caesarean deliveries and describes the techniques to safely manage the second stage of labour to reduce the need for caesarean delivery. The webinar also discusses surgical techniques for safe caesarean delivery as well as the benefits and challenges to caesarean on maternal request and trial of labour after caesarean.
