The General Assembly meets every two years at the time of the biennial World Congress. The Assembly is comprised of delegates from each FIGO National Member Society. It ratifies recommendations on the governance of the organisation made by FIGO Board of Trustees, and elects the Trustees and new members of the Council for the ensuing two-year term.
Nominations for the Board of Trustees and FIGO Council for the 2021–2023 term are now closed.
Voting will take place at the General Assembly, as part of XXIII FIGO World Congress of Gynecology & Obstetrics.
In recent years, a number of important Resolutions have been adopted at the FIGO General Assembly.
The most recent General Assembly took place in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, in 2018. FIGO's next General Assembly will be held in October 2021.
