The General Assembly meets every two years at the time of the biennial World Congress. The Assembly is comprised of delegates from each FIGO National Member Society. It ratifies recommendations on the governance of the organisation made by FIGO Board of Trustees, and elects the Trustees and new members of the Council for the ensuing two-year term.
Nominations are now open for Member Societies to select candidates for the Board of Trustees and FIGO Council for 2021–2023.
In recent years, a number of important Resolutions have been adopted at the FIGO General Assembly.
The most recent General Assembly took place in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, in 2018. FIGO's next General Assembly will be held in October 2021.
All registered participants in the Congress are welcome to attend the sessions of the General Assembly.
