The General Assembly meets every two years at the time of the biennial World Congress. The Assembly is comprised of delegates from each FIGO National Member Society. It ratifies recommendations on the governance of the organisation made by FIGO Board of Trustees, and elects the Trustees and new members of the Council for the ensuing two-year term.
In recent years, a number of important Resolutions have been adopted at the FIGO General Assembly.
The most recent General Assembly took place online on 27 and 28 October 2021. The previous General Assembly took place in 2018 in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, in 2018.
