ICM and FIGO launch joint statement on the use of misoprostol for the treatment of postpartum haemorrhage
On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March), the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) and the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) are pleased to launch a joint statement on the use of misoprostol for the treatment of postpartum haemorrhage.
This statement sets out the latest evidence on the use of misoprostol in low-resource settings and calls all midwives and obstetricians to take concrete action in support of a woman’s right to access safe delivery services.
