One year to go until FIGO Paris 2023
It is now just one year until the XXIV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics gets underway. From 9 to 12 October 2023, more than 8,000 delegates are expected to join us at the Paris Convention Centre in Paris, France.
To mark this exciting moment, the FIGO 2023 Scientific Programme Committee is calling for abstract papers, session proposals and film synopses, which can be submitted via our new submissions website. We hope that you will seize the chance to share your research on FIGO Paris 2023’s global stage and join our community of leading experts.
Abstract papers
We are seeking abstracts that document the objective, method, results and conclusions of scientific studies, projects or changes in practice.
Accepted abstracts will be presented as either oral abstracts or e-posters. They will also be published together in a supplement to FIGO’s International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics (IJGO). The Scientific Programme Committee will select a few outstanding abstracts, whose authors will be invited to submit a full paper to the IJGO.
Film festival
New for FIGO Paris 2023, the film festival will showcase high-quality videos addressing a range of topics, from short 10-minute surgical procedures to one-hour advocacy documentaries.
Film submission is split into two stages: you will be asked to submit a short description of your film and, if this is accepted by the Scientific Programme Committee, you will then be able to submit the film itself for review.
Session proposals
Submitting a session provides organisations and individuals with a unique opportunity to shape and take part in FIGO Paris 2023’s scientific programme. Proposals will be accepted for:
- Scientific sessions
- Hands-on simulation labs
- Post-Congress workshops (taking place on 13 October 2023).
