Unicef aims to cut HIV/Aids in Uganda
Unicef has outlined a number of methods which could help to curb the spread of HIV/Aids in Uganda.
According to the organisation, testing mothers and babies could form part of a wider effort to get the number of new infections down to zero.
Improving access to medicines was also flagged up as an option, along with taking more preventative steps to stop people developing the condition.
The ideas were floated in an animated film created by Unicef Uganda as part of its sponsorship of this year's CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of the Year Awards.
This gave the opportunity to put the spotlight on some of the issues it regards as major priorities, including stopping the spread of HIV.
"Every day, about 1,000 children are newly infected with HIV," the film stated.
"Most of them are born in sub-Saharan Africa."
According to the World Health Organization, 2.7 million people across the world were newly infected with HIV in 2010.
