Recorded on Thursday 16 February 2023.

Maternal and perinatal death surveillance and response (MPDSR) is defined as an essential quality improvement intervention which permits the identification, notification, quantification and determination of causes and avoidability of maternal and neonatal deaths and stillbirth with the goal of orienting the measures necessary for their prevention.

The FIGO Committee on Health Systems Strengthening and Respectful Care advocates for the implementation of MPDSR around the globe. The roundtable discussion in this webinar will explore the importance of this intervention to reduce maternal deaths and strengthen health systems in all resource settings.

Language: this webinar will be held in English with live interpretation in French and Spanish.
