My initiatives

I am well positioned as a Human rights advocate anchored in FIGO through DHEERA initiative ‘NO TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN’ which has given me exposure to Funders, UN bodies, WHO, development & implementa􀀁on partners and community-based organisations. DHEERA is a campaign I started in 2016 on No to 'Violence Against Women' (VAW) as a member of FIGO Working Group on No to VAW. In 2022 as President FOGSI, I started DHEERA online school certification program with UNICEF India, covered 3700 schools and 237000 students. August 2023: DHEERA march at FLASOG Congress in San Pedro Sula Honduras to sensitise the Latin American Obgyns to Say No To 'Violence Against Women' (VAW).

Respectful Abortion Care: As President FOGSI initiated and led the Respectful Abortion Care Project in collaboration with WHO INDIA to all FOGSI members.

NAIPUNYA is a skill enhancement program for paramedical staff for delivering respecctul maternity care & to reduce MMR and Morbidity to reach SDG 2030 Goals.

Accelerating Action for Cervical Cancer Mukth Bharat: Advocated HPV Vaccination program with GOI to be included in national immunization program

As Treasurer of FIGO - I have been to able to gain experience working for our International Charitable Organisation- FIGO that runs memberships, projects and investment accounts and updated my knowledge and skill in financial management.

Represented FIGO at the United Nations CERD Committee meeting in Geneva in 2022 and spoke on the FIGO’s concern on Women's SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS which was jeopardised by the reversal of Roe and Wade case. The committee had then written to the US Government about our concern that women’s rights should always be prioritized.

Financial stability is CORE to any organization. My substantive experience with handling National, Regional and Global Congresses more than 30 since 2005 to-date with delegate numbers ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 gives an important experiential background.
