Recorded: 30th March 2021
Language: English
FIGO Initiative on Fetal Growth: Best Practice Advice for Screening, Diagnosis, and Management of Fetal Growth Restriction was released in March 2021. This document was developed by the FIGO Pregnancy and Non-communicable Disease Committee (PNCDC) to provide a comprehensive guidance to care providers, in both high- and low-resource settings, with regard to the diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction.
The focus of the guidelines is to provide a comprehensive summary of available evidence along with practical recommendations concerning the care of pregnancies at risk of or complicated by FGR, with the overall goal to decrease the risk of stillbirth and neonatal mortality and morbidity associated with this condition. The main aspects of FGR addressed in this article include prediction, diagnosis, investigation, management, and postpartum counselling.
In this webinar, authors of the document introduce the initiative, provide good clinical practice recommendations regarding the diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction. The webinar ends with a panel discussion chaired by Prof. Moshe Hod, the chair of the FIGO Pregnancy and Non-communicable disease committee.
