FIGO and WATOG launch essay competition for trainees
FIGO is pleased to announce a new essay-writing competition for trainee OBGYNs, in partnership with the World Association of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WATOG).
Coordinated by FIGO’s Committee on Contraception, the competition will run from 1 July until 15 August 2022, and the call for essays is on the topic “Innovations in Contraception for Global Reproductive Health”.
Contraception is a fundamental aspect of every sexual and reproductive health conversation. Contraception not only prevents unplanned pregnancies but also provides many benefits. FIGO's Contraception Committee is working actively to enhance the voice of FIGO’s member societies and health care partners with education and research implementation. We want our member societies to advocate for global contraceptive access. One of FIGO’s core values is to strengthen the communication with members and partners across all nations to work towards a shared goal of improving women’s health globally. FIGO has always promoted innovation within and with other sectors to enhance the experience of global reproductive health.
