ICI is a joint effort by FIGO and more than 20 partner organizations to apply a set of principles in a practical manner to close gaps in the provision of respectful maternity care and achieve consistent compliance with best practices in safe and respectful care. The ICI is seeking to achieve high participation on a global scale in 2021, with sites already enrolled in Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Turkey, and the United States. ICI’s partners include the International Confederation of Midwives, the International Pediatric Association, White Ribbon Alliance and International Motherbaby Childbirth Organization (IMBCO).
