Committee on Women’s Health and Technology

Women’s health is underserved, understudied and often underresourced in innovations with disproportionately low research and development funding relative to the burden of morbidity and mortality and their striving for wellness. Innovation and digitalisation are playing an increasingly important role in all sectors and in the daily lives of populace around the world.

The committee aims to enhance communication and advocacy efforts to ensure equitable reach and accountability among communities and healthcare professionals. We will create awareness of and promote health policies in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders. Training initiatives will focus on building capacity in science, technology and innovation, while creating resources for healthcare education. Public education and outreach efforts will target vulnerable populations, working with community organizations to provide tailored support and promote comprehensive women's health technologies.

The committee actively collaborates with all other FIGO committees that present their unique areas of expertise and technical assistance and developing technological advancement.
